Hamilton County GOP - A Change?

I have never met Alex T (the new chairman), however, this is what I do know....
He is a member of the "Deters Clan" (DC).
Who is the DC?
The middle aged good old boys who's family donate large sums of money to maintain a firm grip on what goes on in the county. Some members include:
George Vincent the outgoing chairman and now Alex's boss at Dinsmore & Shohl;
John Williams the GOP head at the board of elections;
Greg Hartmann the current clerk of courts and soon to be commissioner;
Several other behind the scenes people.

For those who attended the meeting yesterday it was obvious what was going on. The DC members were making sure that their power base was maintained and control of the GOP was held. The funny thing is that they did not hide it from being obvious. Any dummy could see it.

I'm sorry, but I don't see any change happening soon in the GOP. The same group is still in charge with it's new figure head appointed to "run the party". Hopefully I'm wrong.
