Am I Blue?

With the recent primary election in the rear view mirror it is time to start assessing the damage done to conservatives and the Republican Party. While I always relish the thought of analyzing the turnouts I am looking forward to deeply measuring the trends of what just happened. Could it be true that all those Dittoheads could have such a profound influence on the electorate? In reality, probably not. I am sure that it may have moved a few points, but not as much as you might think. Could it be that the Democrat leaning Independents were pushed and coddled by the massive amount of dollars expended? Along with that, boredom on the GOP ticket made many yawn and stay at home as they thought McCain was a slam dunk? Some of that is plausible. Of course, what we really don't want to believe is that people are just plain fed up with us and that they want change. That is more likely than any of them, although all three thought processes enter into the equation. For me, I take it as a sign that we need to be better and to re-prove ourselves worthy of the vote. We have a big slobberknocker ahead of us and I for one, look forward to duking it out with the Hillarites or the Obamarites or whomever they send our way.
