Won't Vote? No Excuses Now!

I've always enjoyed listening others complain about how much of a pain it is to vote on election day. What most people do not know is that it is very easy to avoid the problems at the polls - vote absentee. I've voted this way for the last 12 years or so. It's nice to sit in your own home to vote. A nice quiet controlled environment. Not getting mugged by candidate poll workers with flyers that I won't read anyway. Also, I get to vote early or whenever I want. No more stress of deciding at the last minute on who I will vote for. No watching of political ads the last 30 days before an election; I just turn them off. What do I care, I've already voted.
Now you can also vote like I do. In Ohio you do not need a reason to vote absentee. All you need to do is request that a ballot be sent to you. Go to the Hamilton County Board of Elections Web Site to download the form and print it out. You can mail or fax it to them. Be sure to do it early because the requests this year are the largest ever. Once they get your request your ballot will be mailed out within the next day or so.
Be warned, you'll get lots of mail from candidates if you vote this way -toss it or read it. You now have control.
